Since 2012 the departement started teaching specialists in a new direction, namely "Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies", the main focus of which is the development of algorithmic, software and information support to provide the control actions when managing objects, processes and organizational structures, based on the modern information technologies and artificial intelligence.

The graduates of the “Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies” direction can work:

  • for enterprises, organizations and firms related to the software use and development, technical and informational support of the automated enterprise control systems and automation systems operation in different fields: public administration and banking, various industrial enterprises; telecommunication and transport, medicine, etc.;
  • for companies engaged in the modern computer technologies and software development and implementation.

In 2016 the "Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies" direction was transformed into the "Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies" qualification specialty. The Computer Control Systems department will train specialists in the field of “Computer-Integrated Manufacturing and Business Processes”.

The graduates with this specialty can hold the following positions:

  • automated industrial management system engineer;
  • industrial processes mechanization and automation engineer;
  • automation systems maintenance and test engineer;
  • automation equipment maintenance engineer;
  • computer systems service engineer;
  • computer systems and networks design and planning engineer;
  • automation, instrumentation, electronics, etc. design engineer.
